Maarten Steinbuch present as keynote speaker on June 6th

Maarten Steinbuch, a TU/e professor, will be present as a keynote speaker during the second day of Vision, Robotics & Motion! In his keynote, Are robots our friends? he will delve into the potential of innovations like AI computing, robotics, mobility, and sensor technology.

For instance, nowadays, computers are expected to work faster, necessitating accelerated development in sensor technology and artificial intelligence. Take the evolution of cars in recent years, for example: they've become large iPads that can drive. Not to mention robotics: our robots excel in football and some can even perform surgeries better than humans. How can we best handle these new advancements? Can we meet the demand for "the faster, the better"? And how will universities adapt to these trends in the future.

Keynote by Guido van Gageldonk on June 5th

Guido van Gageldonk is the co-founder of Prespective and has been the CTO for many years. After 17 years of entrepreneurship in the fields of AI and Digital Twin, he joined BOM to further advance these subjects, in collaboration with companies and the Province of North Brabant, to the next level of AI integration!

He represents Klikopmorgen.nl and the AI community Brabant, delivering various lectures, workshops and information sessions on Generative AI in Vision and Robotics. In his keynote, he takes you on a journey from AI to GenAI, with a focus on the application of GenAI within vision and robotics. He explores the role of transformer technology for complex system interpretation, LLMs and LMMs as world model compression, and the use of synthetic data and GenAI in robotics.

Vision on digitalisation in the manufacturing industry according to Festo and Cadmes

How do you digitalise in an SME manufacturing company? And what opportunities does AI offer? Around thirty exhibitors showcase practical solutions on the exhibition floor where the new pillar Digital Innovation is represented. Because that's what the industrial SMEs are looking for, according to both Cadmes and Festo, two exhibitors at Digital Innovation and speakers in the conference programme. Cadmes assists SME manufacturing companies with a quickly implementable PLM system; Festo makes AI manageable for smaller machine builders.

An impression of Vision, Robotics & Motion

Stricter customer requirements, shorter lead times, high work pressure, and a shortage of personnel... As a manufacturing company, you face challenges that impact the effectiveness and continuity of your production environment. Automating the production environment or a part of it, using robotics, vision, motion, and also digitalization solutions, can make a difference. However, finding and implementing suitable solutions is often as challenging as it is time-consuming. What is possible, how do you approach it, and more importantly, who can assist you? You discover all of this during Vision, Robotics & Motion. And with the addition of the new pillar, Digital Innovation, this trade fair is the ultimate one-stop-shop for the factory of the future.
